Aisha Jamila Hinds has been an American actor for more than an entire decade. Her roles have included The Shield as well as True Blood. Since her 2003 debut, she has shown her acting versatility by providing outstanding performances on television series like 9-1-1 Detroit 1--8-7, and Under the Dome. Her role in Assault on Precinct 13 from 2005 was the first to attract her interest. However it was her performance as the women's rights activists Fannie Lou Hamer on the film biographical All the Way that finally made her an actor. Hind was also praised for the role she performed as Harriet Tubman within WGN America's period-drama series Underground. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. 9-1-1 was renewed for the third installment by 20th Century Fox Television.
